Copper Moon Mask

Alder, Acrylic Paint, Copper Inlay

12.5” x 15.5” x 8.5”

“This moon mask was carved very stylized, I took influence from my Nisga’a background and the known Nisga’a style of masks. I designed the owl to fit around the moon’s rim and kept it rather simplified to not take away from the detail in the sculpture. I chose to design an owl for the mask because owls are the hunters who hunt by the light of the moon.”
